At Franklin Church, we want to reach out to our community and world with the love of Christ. Here are some current opportunities that might interest you.
Food Pantry Ministry
As part of the "Franklin Cares" ministry which was organized during the coronavirus pandemic, Franklin Church collects non-parishable food items every Sunday. Drop off your donations between 8:00am and 6:00pm in the bin at the East Wing entrance. The New Albany Food Pantry currently prefers to receive financial donations by mail or online at https://www.newalbanyfoodpantry.org/give-funds. You may also contact the church office for more information. Click here for a WBNS 10TV News report to find out how this ministry started.
We also periodically send groups to serve at Vineyard Church's Fruit of the Vine Food Pantry in downtown Columbus.
Meeting Time: 1st Monday – 10:30 A.M. at the Church
Formerly known as the Women’s Missionary Fellowship, the WMF is a vitally important missionary arm of the church. WMF promotes the cause of missions in the local church. At Franklin Church, our responsibility to be involved in local and worldwide missions is not an option but a command! WMF helps us keep a strong connection to the United Brethren Church and keeps the church informed about current needs of United Brethren Missionaries.
Lifeline Christian Mission is a local mission organization with whom we partner. Check out www.lifeline.org to learn more about them.
Our church supports local, national and global missions through various ministries, including:
-Milton & Erica Pacheco who are serving with UB Global in Thailand
-Michael Muwonge, a pastor in Uganda.
-FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) director Tim Brown who serves the Columbus area
-Mike & Heather Slagle who provide collegiate ministry through CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) on several Ohio campuses
